I've failed miserably...

My weight is slowly but surely coming back. I'm under a lot stress lately and not eating well at all. I'm constantly grazing throughout the day and even snacking late at night. I can still only eat alittle at a time, but I know the weight gain is coming back because I've already had to buy larger size pants. What is the 5-day pouch test? What does it do? I need to get back on track, but not sure how. Still under tremendous stress and don't know how else to deal with it... I feel ashamed and like a failure...

You have realized you need to get back to basics.  You will get it back off.  Just google 5 day pouch test and it will tell you everything you need to know.

Oh Karine...you have not failed.  We all do what we should not do at some time...well maybe not everyone, but I know I have LOL.  You get on track now and you will lose that extra before you know it.  Just remember the basics.  Stress is a killer.  Karine, you are special.  Please take time to take care of yourself.  Love ya!!

I know you really don't need platitudes right now--but this quote by George Eliot has become my Mantra.

"It's never too late to be who you might have been." ~George Eliot

It is really true.  Time to start again and success--who you want to be-- is just around the corner!

Its kind of like Nike--just do it!

I am pulling for you--cause as a newbie I know I will face this someday.

You have had to buy a size larger in pants, not ten sizes larger.  So you are catching the change in behavior, reasons, and outcomes early on.  I'm not seeing where that is a failure.

We are all going to have our ups and downs (ha! literally) and we can only take care of it, kind of like if we get stressed and get a cold, we go back to the beginnings of rest and taking care of ourselves better.  If need be, contact the nutritionist you worked with in the past and ask for help.  Just like going to the doc.

A friend of mine has a big sign in his office that says "BE GENTLE WITH YOURSELF" ... recrimination is not the answer, love and self-care are.  You are on the right path.

Hugs to you!

Oh Karine... (((((HUGGSS)))))
You haven't failed miserably, rather you have been making choices that aren't so good for your body ~ and we ALL do this.  You are NOT a failure sweetie - not at all.  If anything you are a tremendous SUCCESS!  Look at yourself in the mirror, and look at your beautiful baby!  You are just going through a time of set back in your life that is challenging you, and the challenge is getting the best of you (at the moment).
You've recognized that you are heading in the wrong directions, you are wanting a change and are willing to make the necessary cnanges in your life to IMPROVE yourself - I applaude you for you are headed in the right direction!!!  The 5 day pouch test is a great way to begin the process.
Please don't be ashamed at all...hold your head HIGH and tackle each hour knowing that YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
Take care and let us know how your progress is coming along.
