Inspirational story tonight on nbc 13at 10 pm with Mike Royer. (I believe his name)
My friend Jerry Farris (who is also Kelly1 and Michelle S 1st cousin) has MD. He lives on his own even though he is confined to a wheelchair and has voice recognition software and friends/family who make it possible. He has no muscle that allows him to even turn his head.
We went to elementary school together and have remained friends for over 20 years.
If you get NBC 13 watch it. He is going to email me the link after it airs so I can view it since I don't get Channel 13!!
Just wanted to share this inspirational disabled story with you. YOU can work; you can live; and you can have a better life! What an inspiration to all of us who have health issues!

I saw him, Julie, what an inspiritation, no pity parties there and he owns his own home, that really impressed me, and he makes his own living. Impressive!

I am glad you saw it! Friends said it was great! Yes he is an inspiration!
He inspired me to go out and work from home. If he can do it with his limitations then I can.
He has pain everyday and as you saw has no muscle control to even lift his own head. He has voice commanded computer software. He has friends that move his hands- and body when needed. They lift him in bed- and shift him at night. (I use to be one of those friends when I lived in town!) It's a task but good friends are like that! He doesn't have the best insurance but they do pay for 7-8 hours of care.
Yes no pity party from him! And he's now going to the Governor's dinner! :)
