I hate to cry....but...

I have the worst burning sensation in my tummy!!  I have had ulcer problems from like week 12 post op.  Dr Facundus perscribed nexium....which has been working wonders....I LOVE IT!! but now he wont give it to me anymore.  he says that after a month of taking it the ulcer should be healed and everything should be fine.  

UM NO! I am on fire, I think I have drank a half a bottle of carafate in like two days, and its not even touching it!!  any suggestions?  is there anything over the counter that will give me some relief?  Im dying you guys!!

Marla, I think I took Prilosec or something like that for a while.  Please, though, ask your doctor.  There may be something wrong.  He should check you and see if there is something going on there.

I'm so sorry you are going through this.  Please go back to the doctor and ask for more help.  I am 18 months out and still have to take ulcer medicine:  some of us just have more sensitive linings or something.... you can buy some over the counter versions of the stuff, but since it is your tummy and prescriptions are much less expensive, please ask the doc for some help.  Let us know how it goes.

i wish i could say rx are less expensive....wow, my nexium is about $40 with my insurance!  id hate to see what it is without it. 

if i could find something over the counter that works like the nexium id try it!!  at this point im on day two of burning...ill try anything
