Making myself eat?
How can I make myself eat when I'm not hungry. I go all morning with nothing bu****er or crystal light on my stomach then I eat supper around 3:30 or 4:00pm then a snack around 7:30pm then water for the rest of the night. I don't get hungry but I stay thirsty. I feel fine, my energys still not up to par but I've never had energy. I know this is not an ideal meal plan, I'm sure I'm probaly not getting in my protein and such but how can I make myself eat when I'm not hungry.
You should check with your surgeon's office for their suggestions. I would bet that they would agree you aren't getting enough to eat - your body will go into starvation mode, and hang onto every bit of fat it can, and you won't lose any weight. Getting in the protein is most important - I'm sure they'll agree with me on that too (and I'm not a doctor, nor do I claim to be, lol).
Check with them for suggestions - each office is different. I wouldn't want to advise you to do something against wha they suggest.

Lisa is right, you should check with your doctor's office to see what they recommend. No one can get by on jus****er. You've got to follow all the instructions your doctor set for you. I know it's great not feeling hungry (new feeling for us) but you've got to get nutrients, especially protein in.
I remember what it felt like when I first got out of surgery, too. I didn't want to eat, reveled in not feeling hungry and getting full after an ounce of liquid, but I followed my instructions to a t.
I ate what I was supposed to, when I was supposed to and everything worked out. Yes, I had to force myself, but I set that timer and ate/drank everytime that dang thing went off.
It's kinda hard, but what isn't that's worth it?

Amy,
There is no way you're getting enough protein if that is all you're eating. That is part of the reason you haven't got enough energy. You have to consciously make yourself eat even if it's just a few tablespoons along during the day. Add in a couple of protein shakes if nothing else. Take it from someone who has battled low protein levels all along. It is not good. I also noticed you posted that you're a "slow loser" in your other post. This is part of the reason. You are not eating enough and your body is going into starvation mode. Up your protein-based calorie intake, and you will lose the weight at a better rate (not that I think your weight loss is bad). Just pointing out that you said you were a slow loser.
