Entertaining Question

Okay, so I live alone and haven't bothered to replace my dining room chairs after they were demolished five years ago in a move.  But I offered to cook for a new coworker and his wife tomorrow night.  Truth be told, I appreciate that I am single and haven't entertained much because of wls .. it's just easier.  But I want to get back into the habit.

Chairs aren't going to materialize by tomorrow night (I am willing to wait for what I want and they have been warned! lol).  But what do I cook that is wls friendly and able to be eaten on a couch?

Help!  and thank you!

Janice

okay.....If you have a coffee table.  Grab some oriental take out...No noodles!  Beef & Broccoli, vegetables, chicken without breading;  you know the healthy stuff!  Then throw pillows around the coffee table and sit around as you would in an authentic oriental restaurant!

How did the dinner go?  I'm sorry I didn't see this post sooner.  I think Lisa had a wonderful idea about the coffee table.  Also, If not take out, maybe a grilled chicken salad, taco salad, something easy and something that you can eat as well.  Those layered taco baked casseroles would also be good...the ones that have beans and stuff all in them.  Yummy.  Anyway, let us know how things went and what ya'll had!

Hey Janice,

I did read this until this morning and was wondering how it turned out. Believe it or not, I did spaghetti with no dining room table. I did invest in a few of those wooden fold out individual tables - can't think of what they are called. It worked perfect and everyone had a great time with no spills!! LOL

I hope it turned out well for you!!
