It's been busy around our household. Leo had his heart cath last week and they put two stents in. He feels better - is breathing better and doesn't break out in a sweat with every little thing he does. We're thankful that his problem was corrected this simply.
I went back to the oncologist and the spot on my ribcage is still there but hasn't changed any which is good. I am still going through different tests and won't know whether I'm cancer free until sometime in Sept. He will not tell me that right now.
Leo and I will be going to the mountains at the end of the month. We're both looking forward to our trip. Leo refuses to give up the motorcycle. His doctor told him that because he is on coumadin, any injury could be life threatening but he also told Leo that he can't live in a protective shell. He needs to go on living but just try to be extra cautious.
My bookkeeping job is going very well. I've had a few stressful days. I forgot to pay our June State taxes at the end of July, so we were charged a whopping 400.00 penalty. You live and learn. It could have been worse - I could have forgotten to pay the July taxes as well. Hopefully I'll get all of this processed into my memory and won't let this slip up on me again. I have a very understanding supervisor and for that I am very grateful!! Both June and July bank reconciliations were perfect so I am doing some things right. LOL
Love you all and you are in my thoughts daily. I wish I could be here more often but that's not possible right now.
Be happy and be blessed!

To--Leo. I am on Coumadin, or Warfin or--let's be honest--controlled doses of Rat poision.
I have been since 1994. It is inconvient--but you have to live. Hang in their. I wish I had a motorcycle.

Hey Debbie Doo!
Sounds like you two are doing well. Like they say, you can't keep a good man (AND women!) down! I know you'll enjoy your trip to the mountains!
Keep us posted on your progress.

Hey Debbie
My mom has been on Coumadin for years. She recently almost lost her life due to a 10 tumor in her ovary that her Dr's missed for a long time .
They took her off the coumadin and said although a heart patient she will be fine on Bayer therapy one a day ...I pray they are right .
Has anyone suggested that for your hubby?
I know on same lines as far as blood thinner but her surgeon at UAB said far better so who knows.
