I needed to share this with yall

Today I wanted to cry--I was at work and my manager told me something that just made my heart so sad.  There was this 30 year old guy--in a wheel chair thrown out of his home he shared with his mom--(thrown out by his mom through his landlord) because he was 500 pounds and disabled.  It wasnt like there was a finacial problem--he had diabilty coming in but he needed someone to help him out.  HIS own mother----well the poor man sought help--but noone would help him.  He became so desperate he wanted to commit suicide.  The local center took him in for one day and kicked him out--so he is homeless.  My manager asked me did I know of any places that might would take him in--I got to thinking about it and wasnt sure but I dont think there is.

A sad country we have become when we cant depend on our own family for help.  It is even worse when we can get the proper help we need to survive this world we live in.  And now to make matters worse our own government wants to own our health care.  It ----well it just is.  I cant explain it--words just over whelm me when I think about it.  I am very greatfull every day that I had my WLS and hope that others that need it get it when they can.......but it looks like that want be an option if the government has there way.

I guess bottom line is when you think you are out there and have noone to --there are others out there that have it worse than you do.  I thank god for my friend and family every day and even though I dont come on here I think about you and say a prayer for you all.  and Please--when you say your prayers----say a small one for this gentleman to find peace--find somewhere or someone that  can take him in and possibly help him geto n some kinda track back to a healthy life before its too late

Love and miss you all

Oh Becky...this is so sad.   As I heard tonight, our nation is becoming one of little to no compassion.  It is so hard to see the hate and lack of concern people have towards others.  I will be praying for this man.  May God send someone special to help him.  I love ya!!

Becky,
I'm agreeing with you both...that we do live in a sad world today that even our families don't "do" for their loved ones as they once did -  Not all families but some of them.
Saying prayers for this gentleman right now.
Miss you too!

WOW .... I Hope things turn out well for this man.  He will certainly be in my prayers.

Life is too short to eat vanilla ice cream and dance with boring men.

i'm thinking there is more to the story than just a fat man being kicked out by momma because his landlord thinks he is fat.

i mean, the local center kicked him out too.

fat may be a disability but i think his "disability" is more than a fat arse.
