Vegetable Casserole Can I Have It.
I'm craving my vegetable casserole and was wondering if you guys think I can have it, if not are there other ingredients I could substitute so that I can have it.
Ingredients:
Birdseye broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots cooked very soft
Kraft lite mayo and Kraft shredded cheese mixed and spread on top of the vegetables in a casserole dish
A sleeve of Ritz crackers crushed and mixed until moist with melted light country crock butter and this spread over the cheese mixture.
Baked for 30 minutes on 350
A very small portion of course
(I know the Ritz and butter and mayo are probably bad any suggestions)
This was my favorite recipe before surgery and didn't raise my sugar but I know my stomachs different now what do you think.

I'm assuming that you are on a solid diet now, correct? At some time or another you're going to have to experiment with foods to see if your body can handle them. The Ritz crackers may throw you for a loop, I'm not sure. We're all able to handle things differently.
My best advice would be to measure/weigh out your portion. I still recommend baby spoons at your stage of the game. Eat a baby spoon or two and stop. If nothing happens within a few minutes, eat another spoonful or two. If you start getting nauseous, your nose runs or it seems you are having trouble breathing or if you get extremely sleepy, Stop eating!
Remember to weigh/measure your portion. If you survive you can eat it. I had to try things and learn the hard way. Some things I thought I could have, but my body decided differently. If you can't eat it at this time, don't give up, try again in 6 months.
