Monday hugs!!!

When a person is drowning and they think that they can help themselves, they are very dangerous to anyone who tries to help them.  The correct procedure for a rescuer, from what I understand, is to stay just far enough away so that a person cannot grab the person trying to save them.  Then wait.  When the person trying to save themself finally gives up, then the rescuer makes his move.  At that point, the one drowing is pliable.  He will allow you to help him.  The same principal holds true in our relationship with the Holy Spirit.  Until we give up, we are not really in a position to be helped.  Surrender to His will follows the surrender of our own.
