JUST GETTING STARTED
Hi there and welcome to the Bama Board!! I'm almost three years out and still love my band!! I don't really have any pre-surgery pointers other than just to follow your Drs orders but if you have any questions at all about the process and fills please feel free to ask me! I'll be happy to help in any way I can.
The one thing I can tell you is that you need to be ready to be patient, and do not try to compre yourself to those who have had RNY or even other bandsters. Everyone is different and it takes anywhere from 3-5 fills to begin getting good restriction. When it hits though, you'll know it!
Good luck!!

Welcome, welcome and congratulations on a life changing decision! I think the comment about following what your doctor says and being patient are the two big pieces of advice I can give you. The other is to take a lot of pictures through the process. If I didn't have pictures, I wouldn't believe the change.
