Friday morning hugs!!!

 If an enemy were insulting me, I could endure it;  if a foe were raising himself against me,
       I could hide from him.   But it is you, a man like myself, my companion, my close friend,
  with whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship as we walked with the throng at the house of God.  (Psalm 55:12-14) 

Have you ever been betrayed by a close friend or family member?  It is heartbreaking when someone you love betrays you.  In these verses, David was speaking of a man who had been a very close friend (II Samuel 15), but that had betrayed him.  He was hurting all throughout Chapter 55.  You can hear his anguish.  However, God was right there to comfort him just as He is right here to comfort us.  Our parents, children, spouses, friends, and others may have betrayed us, but we have a Savior who is right there with His arms outstretched wanting to hold us and love the hurt away.

I'm also glad that God is always with us and HE WILL NEVER BETRAY, HURT, OR LEAVE US!  I love Him so much!!
