Anybody from Al with VSG

Hi,

I am new to the forum.  I am seriously considering having VSG with Dr. Dewitt.  Has anyone else on here had that surgery?  What are your thoughts.  I enjoy reading your post.  This forum is really helpful.

Hi Kelli,  Sorry no replies so far.  It looks like a really slow day here today. I did not have VSG, but think it's a good option for some.  It's like any other surgery--a tool to get you to a manageable, good weight.  Then it's up to you.  Since the VSG is only restrictive and not malabsorptive, it might be harder to keep the weight off, but many people gain back the weight even with malabsorptive procedures.  It;s just up to you to change your habits.  I do know that Dr. DeWitt is a really good surgeon.  I have many friends who have him as their surgeon.  Try posting this question on the VSG board too!
