Today?

What's on your Agenda for the day?

Are you Resting? Cooking? Shopping? Cleaning? Grilling? Swimming? Playing with the Kiddos? Babysitting? Working? Studying? Sewing? Surfing the net? Reading? Having Lunch/Supper with Family or Friends? Washing the car? Mowing the yard?

I'll start...
I am about to finish up on the computer...shower, then head out for the thrift store.  We have a thrift store near us that is awesome!    Tim is working, so it is QUIET around here!   Then, come back and clean up the house and begin studying for CEUs (for my license).   I'll also make supper...not sure what we will have yet?

SO, what are YOU doing????

Good morning Jackie,

My daughter is on my agenda for the day.  She was a little upset the other day and when I asked her what was wrong she told me she felt like she didn't have anyone anymore.

Her husband works weekends...Friday through Sunday, 12 hours shifts from 6am-6pm or later alot of times.  He is home Monday - Thursday so she doesn't get much of her own time and I work during the week and haven't done too much on the weekends with her so I promised her this Saturday and told Grandpa that he had to keep the three boys.

I'm about to get my shower after I finish up on the computer andwe will take off for the flea market and do some shopping for a dress for me to go to my MI'Ls wedding on Aug 8.  An outdoor wedding at 2:00 in the afternoon.  i think we are also going to go to a movie.  Grandpa and the boys will have a blast!!

Sounds like you have a full day planned.  I hope you find some treasure at the thrift store.  I need to hit some of those today too!    Have a wonderful weekend!!  Love you!

I popped in to see what everyone was doing...
I bought my first Christmas gift today.  Now that I'm a Grandmother...you don't have to guess who the gift is for!  I got a GREAT deal on a brand new Fisher Price toy.
I hope you are finding the dress you are needing for your MIL wedding!
Enjoy your daughter, they are precious!

Hummmm, you pose a good question. What is my plans for the day? Billy is working. Leonard is delivering furniture and Karla will be heading to work soon. I guess that leaves me to babysit the girls until they return. Other than that, I am working on some scrap book stuff and if I can scrape up enough money, I want to go to the Oxford Exchange.

I'm thinking that I will eventually get into scrapbooking...just haven't YET!
I want to put together something special for Albert & Olivia @ their one year anniversary.  They will have had so many things to have happen in their 1st year of marriage!
Not sure what the Oxford Exchange is, but I hope you get to go there!

Its been a lovely day.

Got up, exercised, went to the Farmers Market (which had no street address to direct me to .. I think I will have to go into Montgomery for that!), found Tuesday Mornings and got a couple things, went to a couple other stores, scored over $100 of stuff for $31.64 at Belks, went and saw "The Ugly Truth" (oh my gosh, is it hysterical!!!), came home and took a nap, and am now going to do my homework.

I need to rethink how I do my homework since I won't be able to do it at work anymore.  I am thinking that Sunday afternoon is going to be important in the process.  Anyone else who is going to school have a strategy?  My big problem is that I am not an evening person.

Oh, and I have to say that with my office being about 50 degrees (seriously), I'm thinking that this warm up is WONDERFUL!

I spent the night taking care of my sick baby boy Christian.  He has been sick since Thursday., only to get worse last night.  He broke out with a fever at 2 am and I gave him some tylenol and put him in bed with Kyle and myself.  He didn't sleep very well and was very horse and coughing from deep within his little chest.  I called Holly this morning and had her come and we took that sweet baby boy to the Urgent care facility as soon as it opened up.  They checked him out thouroughly, no pneumonia thank God, but he does have a sinus infection and bronchitis.  Poor little thing only wanted his Nana.  I was the only one that could sooth him.  He didnt' want ANYONE else.  So, he's spending the night again with us.  We got his prescriptions filled and found some tylenol melt aways that he's taking very well.  They look like kind of like sweet tarts and he loves those.  HE's been running a high temp all day today.  We finally got enough meds in him by tonight that he started feeling a bit better, but by 8 pm, he came and got me by the finger and said "NITE NITE" and took me to the refrigerator and opend the door and got out his juice and took me to his bedroom here and wanted me to lift him up into his bed.,  He has his same little ritual every night he sleeps here.  He sits his little juice cup on the night stand and stands there and waits for me to pick him up and put him up on his big bed.  He loves the big bed and if he needs me, he will call out during the night, "NANA" and he knows I will be righ tthere or he will come to me in our room across the hall and want to get in bed with us.  HE is so smart and so sweet.  I just hate seeing him sick like this.  We are supposed to take a family trip later on during the week and I hope he's up to it by then.  So, please say a prayer for us and little Christian.

Kyle and I had plans to go out to dinner ALONE for his b'day tonight, but it didn't work out that way.  My Daddy wanted to take us out to dinner and Holly and Beau wanted to go too, so we all went out together again tonight at Ryans.  We really need one night alone to ourselves, but it's getting harder and harder to make that happen.  I don't think our kids understand how much we need some one on one time alone together or how much time they spend here at our house.  I love them with all my heart, but Kyle and I need SOME TIME alone.  It's like we never have any privacy in our own house.  It's just hard for us to both say NO>
