Do you have a plan??

So i joined the BOTT group and learned something that well i already knew, but i dont follow it to a T... Do you plan your daily food? I try. Sometimes people think that means planning your life around food or all you think about is food... No, its not that. I want to know what im going to be eating for the day so i can try my best to stick to it. I had said i was going to eat a hamburger patty for lunch today. Dinner is up in the air but it'll probably be a protein shake because im going to be extremely busy. my mornings are always the same.. PROTEIN SHAKE.. If i dont have my morning protein shake i feel like i screw up the whole day. Does that seem weird?

Anywho, im wondering who plans for the day?

If you do... What do YOU plan to eat today?? maybe this will be a better post than the nightly one? we can try it out for a few days if you'd like?

My plan

Protein shake
Hamburger Patty w/ a slice of cheese melted.
Cottage Cheese (maybe NSA peaches)'
Protein shake

thats my plan for the day. Im already thinking about varying lunch and im going to try to not do that. I have some boiled shrimp i could eat in the freezer. Might be better protein. Im not sure. I'll stick w/ my hamburger patty and do what i NEED to do for the day!!

OK, I don't have a plan, but you've definitely got me thinking...I'm gonna come up with a plan for the next few days.  I'll be reading & looking for ideas.

No plan here either but I'm thinking this is a great idea!!! I hate protein shakes but will re-consider if I can find a good one.

My plan for today:

B - Sausage burrito, iced coffee (too late to plan this one)
L - re-fried beans with cheese from Taco Bell
S - some cheese
D - cottage cheese with fruit and tuna fish

Oh Hilary...I love this.  Hopefully, I can do this and stick to it.   This is a great idea.

B - protein shake
snack - 12 almonds
lunch - (should be) kids meal chicken finger
dinner - h'burger patty and salad
snack - don't know yet, but I know there will be one.

Okay, first things first, what is BOTT?

Planning is something I do every morning after I exercise (I figure I am in a healthy "don't mess this body up with junk" frame of mind).  I use Fitday.com so I can plan out calories (I try to be between 800 and 1200), fats, and carbs (I go for 40% protein calories, 40% carbs and 20% fat).  It's really hard to get that math right, but its nice that fitday has a pie chart so I can mostly tell if I am doing okay.  Mostly ....

So today is not that beautiful, but this moving has me facing some cravings.

B:  1/2 C Weight Control oatmeal

S:  skinny cow ice cream (see?)

L:  1/2 C fat free cottage cheese

S:  more skinny cow ice cream (see????  LOL)

D:  Lean Cuisine: Roasted Chicken and Spinach

S:  Protein Drink (Click)

I was so grateful the movers went ahead and shipped my tuna, but I can't get in the mood for it.  Maybe the fish bug will come back and I'll get in better balance.

This is a GREAT idea, but I have to say that what I write in the morning is often rewritten by the end of the day.  Perhaps we can just come back to this post and say how we did rather than an evening only post?  It's a thought.

Im going to post this in the mornings and still post the wahtcha eating today post in the afternoons that way if the plan varies its ok, you can change it.

Do you like click? im thinking of ordering some, but it seems so expensive.

Oh and BOTT is BACK ON TRACK TOGETHER. its a group on OH and they have been so nice to me.

OK, glad someone else asked what a BOTT was, I'm taxing my brain trying to figure that one out! LOL
 
I don't have a daily plan right now but I can tell you that when I do, I ended up making better food choices. I think that happens  for a couple of reasons...I am not grabbing something while hungry which makes it harder to make good food choices. Also by planning you can plan to succeed. You're thiking about it while you have time to make good decisions and not making quick off the cuff decisions in a hurry.

Great post! I NEED TO START PLANNING AGAIN!

If i dont have a plan-----my eating SUCKS. because your right.. when your hungry, you'll grab whatever and its not the best choices!
