Uh Ladies need help(Graphic Beware)!
Ok since surgery my periods have been well weird. My first one was light and 3 days so I'm thinking wow I'm getting regulated. This one however is really bad. Here comes the graphic part so I started Tuesday 7-7-09 and it was light and I was expecting a repeat of last month. Tuesday 7-14-09 I'm still going and it's bad. I went out and bought the biggest pads I could find( there like diaper large) and I'm changing them every hour. I'm passing quarter size and larger clots, and I'm so dizzy I can barely walk I know it's because I'm losing too much blood. Wednesday was the worst, much worse. I sat up an appointment with my gyno for today and when I woke up my flow was much less, and I didn't want to go to only be told well it's just a bad period. I know it's not a miscarriage because well I haven't felt good for over a month much to my husbands dismay Yikes. I'm just wondering if any one else has experienced this and whether or not I should get checked out. Keep in mind I have PCOS. Ladies what do you think? If any men read this sorry I warned ya LOL.
Must be something in the water this month. I had one of the most horrible periods ive ever had. I have PCOS also. Im on the NUVARING that was suppose to help...and it did for a few months, but now they're back to what u describe. I go thru a super plus tampon and a pad in an hour. I had the worst pain this month tho. I took Tylenol 3 for 3 days just to get SOME relief. Im not sure what to tell you. Is your OBGYN aware of your status? mine is.. We're meeting in October to further discuss hysterectomy.
ALSO i want to say that since we DO lose so much blood....PLEASE get your bloodwork checked more often. I get mine done every 3-6 months depending on how they come out. I have to often take iron infusions to get me back up to where i need to be. Im currently on prescription iron and altho im still anemic and not in normal range, im up way further than i was before.
Hope things get better for you.

I have always been told by my GYN that if you are changing your pad/tamon every hour because of heavy bleeding that you need to go to the dr....If it were me and I was bleeding, even if it slowed down, I would STILL go get seen. Large clots, heavy bleeding, dizziness....Yup, I'd go get seen.
