Back To Work For Me Tomorrow!!

Well it's been 4 1/2 weeks since my surgery and I'm headed back to work tomorrow. I have to say that I am ready. While I've loved not having to set an alarm clock I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. This extra week the Dr kept me out has made all the difference in the world!! I'm feeling more energetic and more mentally alert than this time last week. I'm ready to face the world again!!
I think being compliant with everything the Dr told me to do was helpful too. I sure got tired of resting but it did me good! My swelling is better and my scars are healing very nicely. My new belly button is still ugly as sin (looks like a big scabby hole still) and I'm still oozing at one of the suture sites but that is getting less each day and seems to be fairly common.
Thanks to all of you for your support and prayers during my surgery.
Love you all!
Phyllis

Phyllis I have been keeping up with how your surgery went and so glad that you have done so well.  Hubby has finally told me that I could do the TT and BR in the fall.  Now that I can do it I am getting cold feet and not sure that I really want to do the BR.  I just don't like the looks of the BR, I would rather keep what i have than to be unhappy afterwards.  I guess I just need to go and find another surgeon and see what he or she has to tell me.  You have given me some insight on how it will be.  Your pictures helped me a lot and you look so good afterwards. Mine is nothing compared to yours.  Good luck with work tomorrow.

Congraulations! It is normal to get cold feet because you cannot quite wrap your mind around what you will look like after surgery. I was afraid I would look abnormal because he was scared to work around my lap band port, but as it turned out he ended up calling my lap band surgeon and I find out later that he moved my port in order to get me better results.
I wouldn't give up on the BR just yet, I'd suggest seeing other Drs to get their perspective and also to look at their pics. I've seen some good results on the PS forum!
Best of luck!!
