well im starting all over again

Hello everyone on O.H. my name is Tammy.an today  as of  July 2nd 2009  at 2:45 pm  alabama time.I will be starting my weightloss journey all over again.I will be joing the eat right program at U.A.B . A few months back i had to stop due to the recent passing of my mom,I was not able to deal with her death well,but i know she would have wanted me to take care of my health,so im going back today an joing back at the program,the last few weeks ive been trying to eat good things like lean meats and salads and fruits and veggies,it is taking some getting use to lol but i know i can do this,an i joined a local gym,ive been going for 3 weeks now, and i pray everyday long and hard and ask the Lord to please be with me on this journey of loosing weight ,however i am to loose it .via surgery or the program or both,but why im here is to ask for support as in make new friends and chat an i want this place to be where i come for that and as i log in i hope that this will be my kind of diary,thank you all and i look forward to make new friends GOD BLESS ~TAMMY

Welcome to the bama boards!! You will meet and talk with some great people here who are also inspirational.So good to hear you are getting on the right track for your health whichever way is best for you.That is what I have been struggling with.I am so sorry to hear of your mom passing as it is hard to lose focus on our health at that moment.Good for you on joining a gym as well.Physical fitness can help in so many ways especially in keeping the heart healthy.I am not on here much but I am here if you need anything! First and foremost please know that I'm very sorry about you loosing your Mom! I know that has to be really tough, even now. Secondly WELCOME TO THE BAMA BOARD! With or without surgery you will find support here, it's a great group of people!
Sounds like you are gaining control again and I admire you for that. It's never an easy journey but so worth the ups and downs!! Hang in there and please keep posting here and let us know how you're doing and what your struggles are. You may be surprised that we go through a lot of the same thng.

Hi Tammy,

Good for you!!  I am sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom...that rough no matter how old you are.  I don't think any of us handle that well.  But, you have made the decision that it's time to take care of you.  You're right your mom wuld want you to take care of your health.  I'm sure that was very inportant to her!

As I think everyone has stated.  This is a very supporting and inspiring board.   Keep us informed of your progress and we will be your cheerleaders.  Let us know when you're struggling and we will encourage, give advice, some will lift you up in prayer, we will do whatever you need.  Someone here should be able to provide what you need or suggest where you can find it.  God bless!
