Wednesday Hugs!!!
Oh what a beautiful morning!!!!! (Oh what a beautiful day.) OK...now that I have you singing , it is a beautiful day. I am sending out big big hugs to everyone today. I pray that you are all very blessed and have an awesome day today. I love ya!!!!
Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. (Matthew 18:21-22)
How many times I have been hurt by someone and said to myself, well God does not expect me to just sit and be walked on by anyone. Ummmm....that was an awful attitude on my part. No, God does not want us walked on, but He sure does not want us to harbor unforgiveness. That is so harmful to the person who is holding the unforgiveness. It only hurts you. The person who harmed you, more than likely, could care less that you have unforgiveness in your heart. For your own sake, forgive them and free yourself. Ask God to remove any unforgiveness you may have in your heart. I have had to do this many times. As He states above, we should forgive over and over. How would we feel if we asked God to forgive us and His reply was..."well not this time, you have hurt me too much"? Isn't it amazing that He ALWAYS forgives us, no matter what it is.

Excellent devotional subject. We should not allow people to live in our head--rent free-- especially when ,as you have noted, the person hurt is usually the one harboring hate and forgiveness.
