Hi all!
Hello! I just wanted to introduce myself...my name is Brandi and I live in Grand Bay, AL. I had the Realize band surgery on June 3rd this year. I have been on the Lap band and Realize forums for a little while now and thought it'd be nice to get to know folks from my home state that have had WLS. I hope all are doing well today!
Welcome Brandi!
Always good to see a fellow bandster! I'm almost three years out and I still love my band!!! It is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I'm recovering now from plastic surgery that removed almost 17 lbs of excess skin & fat in the mid-section.
Best of luck on your journey! Don't be a stranger

Hi Brandi,
Welcome to the Bama Board! We have the same doctor. Dr. Weistein is GREAT! I didn't have the band. I had Open RNY October 11, 2004. I used to head up a support group at Providence Hospital. It has been reorganized and will start back up in August or September. Lee and Sandy and heading it up now.
If you would like to be on the mailing list, send your e-mail address and I will send it to them. We used to meet the third Tuesday of each month at the Providence, but I think they may be looking for a different place to meet.
There is a lot of support on this board, and several people who have had the lap band. I hope to see you posting more!!

Oh wow! That is awesome...I like Dr. Weinstein alot too! Thanks for the info about the support group. I do currently attend one where I had my surgery (Mobile Infirmiry) that also has a new cooridinator heading it up. You can tell she's new but really trying hard. I may check out the other one at Prov since they are on seperate days. I'll send over my email to ya!
