OT....Michael Jackson is dead at 50 from cardiac arrest

Well put in your post. I watched 20/20 last night. The first hour was dedicated to Michael and the second hour was about Farrah. I texted my sister to watch Farrah's. Her battle with cancer has a large impact on our lives as my grandmother is battling blood cancer and it has been a long hard road. I cried watching Farrah suffer because I've seen it first hand. I Honor Farrah for the courage she portrayed and the way she wanted to share that with others. To not give up and to fight. I know she was tired and I know she is resting now.
I had heard about MJ through news reports; but then my 16 yr old comes to tell me and the first thing out of his mind was justice would be served. He knew he wasn't convicted but that one person knew whether he was guilty or not and that is true. We don't have to judge him he answers for himself. It is sad that he is remembered that way but I know that with fame comes poor judgement in some cases. And yes we are all entitled to our own opinion and should love/like everyone.
I loved Michael as a child. And I love Janet Jackson too. I'm such a HUGE 80's fan. I love all the 80s music and can remember watching a whole different MTV than we have now! Wow.. am I old. lol

Michael was not convicted of sexually molesting those boys. None of you know whether he did or did not. While I agree that it is indeed terrible if he did molest them, it is also terrible for people to accuse him, if he did not. Children do lie, especially when they have been coached by their parents to do so for financial gain. Child do lie when one parent coaches a child to say things against another in a custody hearing. For a very long time we believed that children did not lie about sexual abuse, we now know that is not true in all cases. However, by the time that the courts and people like me who do the child interviews are done, the harm has been done to the innocent adult, if we find that the child has been coached. Yes, you can clearly tell if a child has been coached...and because that information needs to be kept private, I will not tell you how. Yes, some adults do get by with abusing children...but you are on very shakey ground and drawing a lot of conclusion about Michael Jackson without any facts. You only have the information that was supplied to you by the press...and surely, you are aware that they are not the best source for facts. Please do not make this accusation, as what you are actually doing is libelous, you are publishing something about another person without knowledge of the facts. You could be sued.
. Please be careful what you say in a public forum
I do not support child abuse or abusers, but I do support a person's right to be protected from accusation when the accuser does not have accurate knowledge.
Well said!
