More Medical ... Keep Good Thoughts Please
Related to my recent hospitalization and blood transfusion, my surgeon is comfortable that I had a bleeding ulcer. Being on antiulcer medicines and eating more bland has helped quite a bit.
But my PCP is not convinced. He and his wife (also a physician) are insisting I need to be completely safe and have a colonoscopy... a prospect that doesn't thrill me. But I called the gastro guy and, after he looked at the records of my hospital visit yesterday, called and said "you need an endoscopy and it has to be tomorrow." YIKES.
So today is the endoscopy. I've left the insistence on the other in the hands of my PCP. I'm worried that this mellow doctor scheduled something for the next day, especially since day before yesterday my PCP told me that he fully expected me to die two weeks ago. I wasn't aware I was that sick.
And with getting ready to move in three weeks, I am a little annoyed that I am being asked to do these major things in such a short period of time while I am having to deal with Uncle Sugar calling some shots on the moving process. No stress!
So, please keep good thoughts and prayers going that all is on the mend and well for me.
Thanks!
Janice
I'm so sorry you're having to go through this! Especially during such a busy time in your life. There is never a good time for stuff like this however it always seems to fall at the worst possible. You are in my prayers! I'm sure you and your Drs will feel better once you get a clean report from the colonoscopy.
Please post when you feel up to it and let us know how you're doing!!

Hi all ...
I am dopey (there are those that would say I am goofy all the time .. ha!). The endoscopy came out fine, so tomorrow is the colonoscopy. No end to the fun. In the meantime, I discovered how much I love cherry and strawberry when it came to looking at jello and flavored water I can have today! I learn new things all the time.
Thank you for your prayers.
