Plastics in Alabama - who have you used?

I am still about 40 pounds from my goal but wanted to start the research portion of finding a plastic surgeon.    I am in the B'ham area.   I would like someone who is willing to solicit my insurance company for at least partial coverage of the surgery (since I have heard that I will have a hard time getting any part of plastics covered.)    I will post on the surgial board as well but thought I'd get some home town input.

I used Dr. Ross E Bunch in Tuscaloosa.  Great Man and office staff.  Felt like family and not just another patient.  Im paying for my plastics.

I used Dr. Rumley in Gadsden (www.rumleycenter.com) He was the 3rd plastic surgeon I saw, the other 2 were unable to get BCBS to pay for anything.  Dr. Rumley got approval w/the first letter.  I only had the hospital co-pay.  The surgery was done same day, I was home by 4pm, back at work in 8 days.   Check out my profile for more info.

I used Michael Beckenstein at St Vincents. After having other Drs say I could not get insurance coverage, they got it without a problem. Had full TT, Insurance paid for most. I paid a bit extra. I cant remember exactly how muchbut I beleive it was around 4k. I had bc/bs and panni did not hang below pubis but right at. I had lost 120 ish lbs and was 18 months out of RNY. Hope this helps!!
