Just Curious???
Do you Wanna Share with Everyone?
What are you doing for your Dad?  or for your Husband/Significant Other?  Boyfriend?

My Father is deceased, but I have a Stepfather who I LOVE DEARLY named Sonny!  He is the best thing!  We cannot be with him today for he lives in Madison, AL, but we sent him a cordless, rechargeable screwdriver and a very thoughtful refrigerator magnet about Dads with a scripture on it.  Can you believe he didn't have an electric screwdriver?  He just wouldn't spend the $$$ on himself to buy one, so we got him one.
He opened it as I was on the phone with him yesterday, and he was tickled to death to get that screwdriver!!!!  You would have thought it was Christmas at his house!
I love that man to pieces for he has been SOOO good to my Momma and to my family!

As far as Tim is concerned, he got a new T.V. and T.V. stand for himself that he is calling his Father's Day gift.

What am I doing for Tim for Father's Day?
I am cooking a Low Country Boil for Supper with a Layered Strawberry Dessert for Dessert.

Sooo, what are you doing for Dad today?

My father is deceased also. My husbands father passed away this past wednesday and was buried yesterday. Before his dad passed, I planned to have a cookout at our house, burgers etc. I am not doing it now, this is what we always did with his dad. It would be too hard on my husband and the rest of the family. I am not certain what I will be doing now. As for his gift, I got him a new pair of tennis shoes, a new shirt and a new pair of jeans. Simple and practical, I know, but this is a man who NEVER buys himself anything. He is always afraid that I or our son will need soemthing. I think I am going to make his favorite dessert this afternoon and cook supper for him. I am seldom here to cook anymore due to working so much. I am just thankful the Lord allows me the health to work the way I do so that my husband can attend college. The Lord continues to Bless our family everyday!!

Phyllis, I surely bet it is a tough Father's Day at your house this year!
Please accept my sympathy again.
My Stepfather and my hubby is much like your hubby in that they won't buy anything for themselves either...they always do for others!  I know right now Tim needs a new belt for his is about to break, and I will HAVE to go buy it for him for he won't do it.  He says we need the $$$ for other things.
Sending YOU ((((HUGGSS)))) this Father's Day!

I cooked breakfast this morning and took my Daddy a plate along with his gift.  He has anything and everything any man could want or need, and he told me not to get him anything, so we got him an outdoor hummingbird flag.  He loves his hummingbirds.

I got Kyle a  new Gospel Bluegrass CD.  He's just about worn his other two out.  That man loves his BLUEGRASS!  It's all we hear from the time I get in the car with him.

I'm sure that your FIL understands Amy!  We all have times in our lives when we don't have as much $$$ as we would like...it's the thought that counts!  He KNOWS that you LOVE him ~ that's what REALLY matters!

I miss having a father or step father in my life. I miss having a husband occasionally. But I always know there are wonderful ladies out there who will gladly give me their husban for a day or even weekend if I decide I want a husband that is. I have a friend who can't stand me being happy and single. She is constantly harping about me not having a husband. I tell her husbands are not hard to find, I could have all the husbands I want.  it's single men who are as rare as hens teeth. All kidding aside I do miss my husband on special days. He had a fantastic sense of humor and kept me laughing. I will admit that I would marry again if I could find the right man. He would have to have a offbeat sense of humor. Be fat and bald I love bald headed men. He would also have to love house work and cooking. Be gone for weeks at a time on his job or hunmting/fishing trips(anything to give me peace and quite time)Plus his hobby should be cleaning the cat litter box. So if anybody out there meets my requirements call BR4-123. Love, Miss Mary
