Thursday hugs

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.   Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.   It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.   (I Corinthians 13:4-7)

I read this and realize that I come up way short when it comes to love.    I pray that I learn to love more like Christ each day.   It is much better to love than to hate.  Love does not take near the energy that hate does.  Hate causes anger, frustration, and so many more negative feelings, while love sets you free.

AMEN!!!! Thanks Carmen.  I know it isn't morning.  I didn't get a chance to get online at work this morning.  I was nose to the grindstone all day.  No lunch hour.  I just grabbed a yogurt at 3:30 and ate it while I worked.

This is the reading Richard and I had when we Renewed our Vows in ceremony in our church with our families and our church friends (about 75 people) on our 25th Anniversay.  I absolutely LOVE this Scripture!!!  It is EXACTLY what love should be.  I think we all come up short sometimes when we read this.  I know I do more often than I would like to admit.  We are so human and what you said you do is what we have to do, pray!  Pray that we learn to love more like Christ each day.  The more we Pray the easier it will get.
