I'm home finally!
Hey guys I 'd love to say surgery went great but I had some complications. The day of surgery I was OK very little pain etc just really tired I got lots of walking in everything was going well til around 11:00pm things stated to fall apart. First thing that happened was I was having a reaction to the anesthesia I could have literally ripped my skin off I was itching so bad then I got a low grade fever that wouldn't go away and my blood sugar read 280. Then the pain set in, in my left side which everyone claimed was gas and I needed to walk it off. I walked 10-15 times nothing. Then I began getting pinching sensations in my legs the nurse was a little worried about this and trying to hide it which made me anxious. Not 5 minutes after that my nose started bleeding. They done a bladder scan at 2:00am because I couldn't pass urine and had to insert a catheter to unfill my bladder. Today I was supposed to check out at 9:00am well I still can't pee and my left side is so swollen and excruciating I can't move oh and my fever still hasn't broke. I finally peed at 1:00 and they discharged me at 2:30. I'm in excruciating pain on my left side I can barely breathe is this normal oh and my fever still hasn't broke it's low grade 99.9. Sorry to be complaining so much but I'm bound to tell the good the bad and the ugly. Most of this is probably normal I don't know I hope so and I hope to feel better tomorrow thanks for listening
Amy,
I am praying that all of this will pass and that you will begin to feel 100% better!
With anything we do, there are possibilities of complications...and it seems as if you got some of those.
You have been in my thoughts and will continue to be ... and in my prayers for a speedy recovery!

Glad to see you are home Amy, but sorry you are not feeling well. Personally, I did not experience what you are and I am praying you get to feeling better soon. I do know a lot of people have pain with gas build up from the surgery and it is , I am told very painful--and they have to walk it off.
Good luck and blessings--This to shall pass.

I'm glad to hear you are home, and so sorry about the complications. I didn't have any so I can't say if it is normal or not, but if you have any doubts--CALL YOUR SURGEON'S OFFICE. That is what they are there for--don't be embarrassed, and don't think you are bothering them....you need peace of mind while you are healing. I'll keep you in my prayers!
