As you guys know I've been on optifast and have lost 8lbs well tomorrow is my surgery and I drank two bottles of magnesium citrate at 2pm started going a lot at 4pm. I'm hungry and I know I will not be able to enjoy a steak for 10 months to a year and well I really want one. I know this is bad but I really wanna LOL. My question is 
1.) Can I put on weight overnight 
2.) will it digest and pass overnight or is there a chance he'll open me up and say we'll she had a steak last night against me rules and cancel surgery.

Need motivation and advice please! 

Amy...my surgeon would have cancelled my surgery.  I am not your doctor, but I would not think that you should eat a steak.  The purpose of the mag citrate is to clean out your system.  I am almost 4 years out and still cannot digest steak, but I do not miss it.    Please if you really are set on eating tonight, call your doctor or his staff and ask about that.  And yes, you can gain weight overnight... I have swollen overnight before and put on 2 pounds.  I wish you all the best.

I've already talked myself out of it I have a very strict dr. he'd have a heart attack if he knew I was contemplating a steak grabbed an icky optifast myswell get used to depriving myself now LOL 12 hrs from now I'll be on the losers bench woohoo

Oh Amy...I promise you won't be deprived ... I gained good health,  a much better attitude, contentment, and I can buy nice clothes.  I love my life and I feel so much better.   Giving up a few foods is so little compared to what we receive in return. 

oh sweetie...i just saw this post, i hope you made it.  facundus is a hard doctor to deal with some times.  he is very good at what he does, and very strict as long as you go by his rules, hes happy with you.  no last meals he and his office will tell you no no no.  honestly though, as carmen and others have said, you wont need it.  i am about 4 months out, I had facundus, and im fine. lol i have lost almost 90 lbs and couldnt be happier with the decision.
