I had surgery wednesday and got home yesterday late afternoon. feeling tired, but up and walking. how do you get all the liquids in? gas pains are there too. when does it go? do yall take the liquid tynelol rapid?  cant wait to feel better. thanks for all the prayers. i was so sick the day of surgery. the stuff i had to drink and pills i had to take. i went to check in with a garbage bag in one hand and wet washcloth in other. finally i got to or and they gave me medicines. i remember rolling to the or room at 720am, getting on table and that was it. then waking up in recovery, but couldnt open my eyes, but could hear good. then next i knew i was in my hospital room. i had lots of visitors, calls from friends, flowers and gifts. i have great friends.

Congratulations!!!!!  sounds like you are doing good the gas pains will go away the more you walk. All i can say about the liquids is sip sip sip one ounce every 10 minutes that is how i did it. you can do creystal light popcycles, broth, jello all count toward your liquids. I took liquid tylenol for the first  few months. The sickness you had will be well worth it when you lose all the weight.

Congratulations on your surgery! I know you're glad it's behind you. Just rest up, sip water and walk around some. Just listen to your body you'll know when you're ready to do more.

How wonderful! Congratulations and welcome home.

Everyone is right .. keep walking and the gas will go.  I remember laughing because it seemed like I pootered with every step!

Small frequent sips are the way to go.  I have a container that has the amount I need to drink and I just keep it going.  It takes a while but you'll get in the swing of things. Right now concentrate on doing your best and healing.  All will be fine.

Congrats!! Don't worry, it gets better.  As far as getting the liquids in, remember, the popsicles, SF jello, etc. all count toward your liquid intake.  Just sip along throughout the day and you'll get there.  Right now, you just need to do the best you can.  There's no way you can get it all in at first.  You have a lot of healing to do.  Keep walking and that will help the gas work its way out.  I have taken the liquid tylenol.  It's fine to take as long as your doctor said it was (I'm pretty sure it's not on the no-no list).  Take care and keep updating!
