Wednesday Hugs!!!
Oh what a wonderful day it is!!!!! I feel so blessed today to just be able to be sitting here at my desk and able to know that I have friends and family, I have a home, food to eat, clothes to wear and water to drink. There are so many that don't. I AM BLESSED!!!!! I am sooo excited today. Y'all have a fantastic day!!!! Love you!!!!
One thing I do: forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead...(Philippians 3:13)
I have been guilty of taking the words "forgetting what is behind" as a command from God to never look at the past. That is not what Paul was saying. He was talking about the things he had to leave behind to follow Christ. The past can be a good and effective teacher. We have to approach it as a good student from the perspective of what we can gain and how God can use it for His Glory.

Hugs back to you Carmen. I am so blessed too. We have a volunteer in our office right now who lives in the homeless shelter. She is a lovely woman who has wonderful work experience and abilities but due to a loss of a job followed by loss of home a few years ago...things have snowballed out of control in her life. I feel the Lord led her here. We can not hire her due to budget restraints. We're not sure whether we will all have jobs come July or if we will be taking pay cuts. But we have been able to offer her a cool place off the streets during the day (she has to leave the shelter at 6:45 a.m. and can't return until 5:oo p.m.) My employer has invited her to her home the last two weekends...she can't this weekend because she will be out of town so she will have to be in the shelter and out on the streets again. Please pray for the woman...her name is Leslie. She needs more than we can give her humanly. She needs God's intervention.
Thanks for the Hugs and Scripture! Love you.

Oh Connie...this breaks my heart. This is what I am talking about. She needs just the simple everyday things in life. I wish I could help her. I will put her in my book and remember her. I am going to believe that she receive a miracle. We ARE so blessed and I know, I take it for granted so often. God bless this lady.
