Possible surgery tomorrow.

so as some of you know i have been having horrible heartburn since about 2 weeks post op...now at 4 months today (yay) i am still having the issue....finally dr facundus feels its important enough to take a look at.  so endoscopy tomorrow. (yay...note sarcasm)

i am worried that there is something seriously wrong and they are gonna have to do another surgery...and iw as reading this peice of paper that says they arent going to put me under to put this tube down my throat.....

IM NOT OK WITH BEING AWAKE FOR THAT!!!  how do i get them to not do that!!!!!  i mean i know i need the procedure...but i dont want to be awake to have a tube shoved down my throat?!?!?!

im in panic mode!

Saying a prayer for you today.

Let them know that you are very stressed about the not being put to sleep and maybe they can give you something to make you not care. Just a suggestion.

They should give you Versed, or something similar to it.  I had an endoscopy (pre-op) and I actually don't remember any of it.  Other than a sore throat after, it was not bad at all.   I am fairly sure that they always do some type of conscience sedation when they do this procedure. 

I will say a prayer that all is okay!!!

I've had a couple of endoscopy's done and trust me....you'll be awake but you won't care.  You will really be in and out of conciousness.  I was freaking out too, but it was really ok.  They will spray a numbing solution on the back of your throat to kill your gag reflex.  Please just relax....you will do just fine!!!

actually they gave me this white liquid stuff through an iv, and i was out in like 2 seconds.  whoo!  i dont remember anything.  im ok.  i have ulcers....ewwww.

seems i get to keep on the nexium and carafate.  yay

i've had one of those. i had ulcers. i hope i can get rid of nexium soon
