How did you get approval for your panni? What were the issues that you were having that affected you medically? I have loose skin and need it desperately.

Hi!
Yes, I do have ongoing rashes underneath the panni area. Over the past two years I have documented them by taking date stamped digital pics, and also have gone to the Dr to get ointment. I kept all the documentation and presented it to my plastic surgeon when I went for my consult. I was approved 4 days after they received the approval letter! I was thinking they might deny and I'd have to appeal, but they didn't. I have go say though that I had a friend go through the same things a couple of years ahead of me and she is the one that told me to document, document document!
I would start out by obtaining a copy of the medical policy for whichever surgery you are interested in. Cust Svc will tell you it may be covered subject to medial necessity, that is their standard answer. However, each insurance should have a medical. You may be able to go online and get it, or you may just have to push for answers till you get it. It will tell you the exact criteria for coverage. Example - mine says if it's after WLS it must be at least a year after surgery, you must have lost 100 lbs... ect...
Best of luck to you!

I made two huge chicken pot pies last night and every bit of it is GONE.  Holly and Beau came to pick up CHristian and ate with us.  My Daddy came over and ate dinner and then Jill and Clint came in and ate.  Those men can really pack away some food.  I don't know what I'm going to make for tonight.    Any suggestions???
