Wednesday Hugs
Sending out hugs on this beautiful Wednesday morning. My wish for today is that you all have an awesome day. I love y'all!!!! When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. So she said to Jacob, "Give me children, or I'll die!" (Genesis 30:1)
You know...people in the Bible were just as human as we are. This is a story about two sisters and their husband and their jealousy of each other. While Leah wanted the love that Jacob gave to Rachel, Rachel wanted the children that Jacob had given to Leah. Neither were satisfied with what they had. I love the words "or I'll die". How many many times I have said "if I don't get _____, I'll just die". Oh my ... we are all so human. We are never satisfied with what we have. I know I have thought to myself...."so and so has done such a better job at losing weight and I wish I were more like them". Well, you know what...I and each one of you are successes. We have all succeeded in losing weight, getting ready to lose weight, or just in life in general. Even for the ones who have chosen not to have WLS, you are a success. You have taken a step to improve your life in other ways. God made us each different and He made us the way we are for a reason. I want to be the me that God made for me to be.
