A special request from Lindy
Amanda has been talking with Lindy today and sent me the following and asked me to post it to the board. Please say a prayer for Julia and LIndy. The message is:
basically, this is what we know as of right now:
julia is on the swim team for her school and they practiced 4 times this week (one practice, thursday, was from 5-6pm and in the rain...) last night julia kept waking up with a tremendous fever so lindy took her to the doctor today because it was over 103. the doctor confirmed that she has pneumonia and is treating her for that now.
a little while later the doctor himself called lindy at home and asked for her to bring julia back up to the office because the cdc had just (in the amount of time it took for her to get home from his office) confirmed a case of swine flu in julia's school. so she brought her back up to his office so she could be swabbed and she tested positive for "the flu" but it has to be sent off to the cdc to be determined if it's swine or not which could take up to 72 hours to find out for sure.
meantime, lindy and julia are BOTH being treated with tamiflu and julia's also being treated for her pneumonia. lindy is being treated because she's symptomatic, even though the doctor didn't swab her. the other family members are NOT being treated as of right now because they are NOT symptomatic.
anyway, that's all i know right now so if you could maybe post an update and ask people to be thinking good thoughts for lindy and poor little julia i'm sure they would both be most appreciative :~)

I was just logging on to make sure that you had received the email from Amanda. I have been texting with Lindy this evening about all of this. Thanks for posting this! They can really use our prayers right now. Lindy has had a tough few months here lately! Everyone's prayers are greatly appreciated.
