I gotta rave about my boys.
Bird graduated 8th grade yesterday. He was the only child to maintaijn all A's throughout his school career ( K-8) and 1 of 2 who made all A's throughout middle school.

K man is graduating high school today. We got word yesterday he is in the top 5 ( not 5%) of his class. I am so proud of him. Last year he just wanted to quit school. Now he is glad I did not let him.
Some of you know his story. I nearly lost him to suicide 6 years ago. He was a bullied child until he hit 6th grade. Then he started fighting back. Thios was about the time I started researching WLS. So many of you prayed for me, my family and my sons. Randall. who was ALWAYS willing to pray for us, no matter what he was going through, Carmen, Jule, Happy Girl, Susan, and so many others. My heart swells with gratitude, because I don't think I could have made it without you.
I can't believe it is here..today will be filled with joy and sadness for me.

Mothers of little ones, hold them close, ENJOY every moment you can. NEVER wish for them to be older. The time is fleeting. Keep your arms and hearts around them for as long s you can.
Daddy's too!!

Thank you. I did not mean for this to be a long drawn out post. Thanks for indulging me.

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

Consider yourself indulged and applauded.  Your children have done very well and that is in no small part related to your parenting and care of them.  Good on them and good on you!

CONGRATULATIONS!

I love to see proud mama's. It's always been evident how much you love those boys. And you are so right about how fast they grow up.

YOU RAVE ABOUT YOUR BOYS RENEE!!!  YOU DESERVE IT!!!

I have been here since the summer of2004 and I know what your boys and family have suffered through and it is amazing that they have been able to do so well academically considering.  This I believe is due to the love and support they have had from you Renee and their father.

All A's throughout his school year...you GO Bird!!!

My nephew achieved the same and he received a full scholarship to a very prestigious and expensive private school here in Mobile.  He then did the same throughout High School and ended up with the largest scholarship ever given at Tulane University in New Orleans.  He has three engineering degrees, one in Math, one in Computer engineering, not sure what the other is.  He accomplished this in 5 years and he interned during the summer with NASA and ended up starting out with a job at NASA at the age of 22 or 23 years of age with a starting salary in the $70-75,000 range.  He has done well for himself.  My brother and his wife could not have given his this kind of education financially.

And the TOP 5 in his Class You ROCK K-MAN!!!  Renee, again it was you love and support that got him through this.  He will go far too.  Please just continue to love and support him and be there for him like you and his father have been.  I know that is the most important thing to children.  Parents confidence in them and unconditional love.

Yes, those people you named on this board who were here to pray.  They are great, along with those who don't always respond but do pray.  Prayer is definitely what gives us the power and strength because without God we could not do anything.

We will, or I guess I should speak for myself, I will always indulge you in being proud of your sons, in asking prayer for your sons, or in asking help for your sons.  Our children are the most important gift God has ever given us and we should do whatever it takes to help them to become the best that they can be.

Love to you Renee, you DH, you older son (sorry I can't remember his name right now), K-MAN and BIRD!!!  Enjoy your New Orleans trip!!

Christ's peace,

Renee',

Any time a momma goes the extra mile like you have ALWAYS done - it's okay to RAVE!

I know how I am about my two.....as my co workers like to tease......ask Lisa about her children, her grand children or ALABAMA football and she will talk your ear off!

So be PROUD!

We are proud of you and them!  And from me personally, during this journey of WLS you have always been there to encourage me and help.

Thank you,

Lisa and Fish
