Thanks, Connie!  I will add your email to my list.  I am a cantor, so am more picky about music than anything.  How wonderful that you work for the diocese.  We'll be talking!

I agree with Stacy that you would probably like the Prattville area. It is convenient to everything and has some great shopping areas and eating choices plus you can be at work in no time. St. Joseph's in Prattville is an outstanding church and one that I think you would enjoy. St. Bede is also one I know about but it is on the east side of town which is a good distance from Prattville and Maxwell but a lot of people don't mind the drive if its where you want to be. Downtown Montgomery is going through some major rehaul and isn't as bad as it once was. It still has a way to go but more and more people are turning in that direction. A lot of homes have been restored and are quite beautiful. The Montgomery Biscuits and the new Civic Center are really helping to change the downtown area. Take a ride on the river boat!! My husband and I and another couple are going out in a few weeks. It has recently been restored and is quite a treat. We have a camper on the Alabama river and we love the outdoors. I don't know why I haven't met Stacy in person yet that's going to change soon, right Stacy?

Well, take care Janice and we'll make it a point to get together when you get in town. Maybe Stacy and I can show you some sights.

Thanks, Debbie!  I have been looking at some websites where there are historic homes for rent in the Capitol district.  Dang, nice and affordable and looks like nice walkable neighborhoods.  It is true I like to be in the thick of things.

Debbie,

Thanks for saying something about Capital Heights.  It looks like a great place to live and there are some spiffy homes for rent there.  :-)  I assume that it is very walkable and bikeable?

I just wanted to welcome you to the Bama Board and to Montgomery.  I live about 15 minutes from Maxwell.  I pass it on my way to work in the mornings.  CURVES is a good place to work out and you are always welcome at Catoma Baptist CHURCH.  I would suggest living in Prattville.  Its about 15 or 20 minutes from Maxwell.

Prattville is a popular place from what I am hearing!

I'm thinking I may take the govt up on a househunting trip to make sure I have my bearings.

Thanks!

Thank you, Stacy.  I've never been to Curves.  Do you enjoy it?  I have been to many a Baptist service and may take you up on that.  :-)
