I' m back on board
Came home from hospital on Monday, little bit disappoiunted i didn't get to come home Sunday but Dr. Hannon told me no. I am still having trouble getting all my liquids in but today got to go to "full liquid" diet so maybe it will be easier. Still pretty sore, but they took off all the tegaderm and gauze pads yesterday, so actually it is a little better except for the left side, which the bottom bandage she took off took offa lot of my skin with it. I haven't had much pain, just discomfort. I don't know if I had anything in ICU, because I don't even remember being in there. My daughter said they let her come in there for a little while & she was talking to me, but I told her I still don't remember. The 1st thing I remeber is waking up in my room on the 2nd floor and it was still dark outside, so they must have moved me from ICU pretty early. For pain, headaches, etc they want us to take children's liquid motrin, I was surprised, I asked about liquid tylenol but told no, children motrin for now. Will find out in 3 weeks when I go back about starting the vitamins, calcium, B-12. I haven't felt really tired until today, I guess it's just catching up with me. Got home on Mon and the nurse made3 follow-up appt for Thurs.(7th) I tried to get the office to change it bcause my paperwork said 7-10 days after discharge, instead they said it would be ok. Eveyone was reaaly nice at the hosp. I want to thank all who prayed for me during & after surgery, It helps to have such wonderful, caring friends. I especially want to thank Sandi, my ANGEL, Debi Roberts who called to check on me several times and the night before surgery, and Julie C. You'll are a great group and I have to get off here and try to drink some more. Catch ya'll later Linda
