I need to update you

On some things with our move to North Alabama (Guntersville).  You know we have said how much we LOVE it here.  This was a GOD move if I have EVER made one, especially with Lucy.    When we did move though, Allison hated it and gave us so much grief.  Now, she LOVES it here and you should hear her talk about school.  She never talked about her school work in Luverne.  She never was required to do papers or projects like she does here.  Allison was always VERY smart before 7th grade.  7th and 8th grades were tough for her down there because she lost focus.  She has regained that focus and is working hard.  She is having to work hard since we have moved here, but she is doing it.  I'm proud of her and I'm even PROUDER that she loves it here in Guntersville!!

Now, for Torey.  I miss my young man more than anyone could ever know.  He don't even know how much  I miss him!  I heard (wasn't suppose to though) from Allison that he is planning to move home.  Here home!  In Guntersville.  He doesn't want to tell Lucy and I because "I" will pester him about it till he is here!  HA!  I know he has to grow up, but it is just that North Alabama will offer him more opportunities in many ways.  I'm not dis'ing where we are from because that is HOME and I love it down there, but I just know this is where we need to be.

Please pray for my kids.  They aren't babies anymore but Daddy sure is a proud daddy and Momma Lucy sure is a proud momma Lucy!  God is doing awesome things in our lives and we can't thank HIM enough!!

Love you all!!

Wow Randall!!!!!
That is so awesome to hear.I feel God places us where He wants us to be for a reason.I have always wanted to live in Hartselle because that is where my good memories of my childhood are and although I didn't find a way to live up here until recently God paved His way for me.I got back into church where I needed to be(the first church I was ever baptized in) Weird!!! I will be praying for your kids.I hope Torey does come home. God will guide hime to. It is so hard as parents to watch our children grow up and fly the coop, but it is such a relief to know that they wanna come back home and it's good that you left that option for him as well. You and Lucy are such GOOD loving parents!!!!! All will work out for the better!!! God Bless!

I am very proud of both your children. I'm also proud of you and Lucy. I love to see Alllison sit on the arm of Lucys chair and reach out and touch her.  I personally think one of the major influnces in Allisons change of heart about Guntersville is the attention she gets from your neighbors. She is spoiled rotten by them(but then again so am I) And at Allisons age she just eats that up.
I would love for Torey to move back home (home is where your heart is). There is a lot of options for college in this area.
Thanks for the update. Love, Aunt Mary

Randall,
I'm so glad You and Lucy are so happy in Guntersville.  That makes a big difference when you like where you live and your church.
We've been busy remodeling our Kitchen. What a job!! Try not having a kitchen for 21/2 months.
But the cabinets are in and the counter top and flooring is being installed next week. Tomorrow we paint. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Enjoy your weekend.
Love ya,
Sandy

God's time is not our time and we get so impatient with the wait.  Sometimes we have to go through some things so we can see how blessed we really are.  Torey had some time away from home to see just how good he really does have it.  If I could go back and tell my mom and dad anything today, it would be thanks for the tough love.  That teaching has taken me a long way.  I hope my boys will one day be able to tell me and Jimmy they are thankful for the tough love also.  They are not doing things the way we think they should do them but the teaching is still there and God's word promises that if we train up a child in the way he should go, when he is old he will not depart from it.
Does Lucy start her new job on Monday?  We pray God's best angel to go with her!!
