Good Morning Bama Family!

I'm so excited! My panniculectomy and TT is scheduled for June 10th. The Dr could have done it much sooner but that was the best time for me to be away from work, plus will be the week after softball season is over, and my ladies group at church always has a weekend retreat over the Memorial Day weekend and I sure didn't want to miss that!

Because the insurance approved the TT too, my out of pocket will be much less than expected. PTL!! In fact, with what I have saved up I think I'll be able to pay cash for it all. That really depends on how much the hospital fee is. I'll only have to pay 10% of whatever the insurance allows. (Which is MUCH less than what they actually charge) God is SO faithful!

Because my fur babies think I am their own personal fluffy pillow, I'll be recovering at my Mom's house for the first couple of days home. It will be much quieter there I'll pro baby be knocked out most of the time anyhow. She only lives a mile away from us so Rich can go back and forth as needed and can get back to work. My Mom was absolutely thrilled when I asked her about staying there.

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday and enjoy the weekend! We have a family reunion this afternoon so I'll be cooking some today for that.

That is GREAT Phyllis!!! Woo Hoo!  I know you are excited.  Especially that your insurance company is going to pay for the TT too!  That is very unusual!!!  You look great now, but after June 10th

Yep I am starting week 4, I too just planned to take 3 but I decided I really needed another although my Dr said whenever I feel ready he will send me back. I had 10 lbs of skin removed with the muscle tightening (TT) and I also had an arm lift. Which I have had no trouble at all from my arms they are pretty much healed and looking great, no soreness since the first week. I am having issues with draining from my incision and Im super swollen. Dr Meadows says the swelling can last up to 3 months oh joy! I prob could go back to work next week but I have some holes that have shown up they look similar to where a drain has been pulled out only larger that I am wanting to keep an eye on and of course the oozing still! Although my Dr thinks its looking great and Im healing well. I really am getting stir crazy and am soo ready to get out of the house!

Dr Meadows did not require us to wear a binder although last week he told me to get one if Id like to help with the swelling but Ive really not wore it much as it seems to be more effort than it is worth! As for the pain I would say the first week or so it was def about a 6.5 or 7. But then I am a big baby. But I will also say this TT has been worse than my RNY, gallbladder removal, and hernia repair all in one! I broke down and sobbed to my husband last week that I would gain 20 or 30 lbs back if it would just get me back to where I would feel better. But I am starting to feel more human again which is a good thing and the soreness is gone pretty much from everywhere except from where the holes are. I must add Im also a big baby when it comes to pain! But dont worry you will do fine I am sure of it!
