What are you cookin' today?

I made the family blueberry squares for breakfast this morning and there should be enough for dessert for lunch.  After church we will bbq and grill some boneless porkchops, ( that I won't be able to eat, ugh) grilled potatoes with ranch seasoning, green beans and fresh homemade sourdough bread, that our dear sweet neighbor sent over last night.  She made us 2 loaves and it's awesome.  She bakes all the time and has Kyle and my Daddy up for cake at least 2 times a week.  Everyone sits out on the patio and watches the birds, squirrell, chipmunks and cats play.  They have a beautiful water fountain in their yard and it's so peaceful sitting out.

So, what are you cooking today???

Everyone, have a blessed and wonderful Sonday.

Oh my goodness, you just moved in this week and you're already cooking BIG MEALS?  I love you too, Jackie.  I hope you are enjoying that new home of yours.  It sounds wonderful.

I need to cook some pintos and cornbread for Kyle.  It sure would go a long way with this bunch I have to feed.  I'm going to have to come up with some good meals that will go for on a small budget.  Got any more ideas for me?

My hubby and son both finish their finals tomorrow and will be out of the college for summer. This means there must be food in the fridg at all times...lol! Today we are having pinto beans, okra, meatballs, baked spiral sliced ham, cream corn, brocolli casserole, rolls and s/f strawberry pie! Whewwww, makes me tired just typing all of it! I work 15 hours a day, 3 days a week and they are tired of all the fast food places around here. I am cooking up enough so that they can have good meals for the next couple of days and then sandwiches from the ham for the rest of the week. Hope you all have a good day.

Sounds great.  I need to do that on the weekends, but now a days when I cook up stuff, the refrigerator seems to get raided awful quickly and doesn't seem to last like I need it too.

Leftover Peanut and chicken noodles, filled with fresh veggies will be lunch. I have no clue about dinner yet, probably fish and rice. I will be baking a margarita cake to celebrate Cinco De Mayo.
