I wish to express my gratitude to all of you who prayed for Charlotte.  She was discharged from the hospital yesterday and is much better!  We are so grateful to our Savior for his mercy and blessings.  We are grateful to have friends who care enough to present themselves before the Lord on our behalf!

Blessings,

Lisa

Charlotte is my oldest step-daughter.  She had lap-band last Thursday morning at SAMC.  They also repaired a hiatal hernia at the same time.  She was discharged home Thursday afternoon and was never able to hold anything down.  She was re-admitted Friday night.  Apparently the two procedures caused a great deal of esophogeal edema and the opening at the lap band closed to less than a pencil eraser size.  She truly was unable to get anything through it.  So they kept her on IV fluids and finally after IV decadron the edema abated and she was able to get some fluids in by mouth Tuesday night and yesterday morning.  She returns to see the Surgeon today.  You probably do not remember her but when you had your car accident she was one of the nurse on 2 east that cared for you.

Glad to hear all is well!  I've been out of pocket as my best friend had a heart attack and stent, then my husband decided to have chest pains on Easter Sunday and a stent on Tuesday...thank God he did not have a heart attack, but had a 70% blockage.....everyone is on the mend now....I think they were just jealous of my upcoming surgery....surely I am guaranteed an uneventful surgery now!!

OH MY!!!!!!!

Sounds like you have had a WILD week!  Yes, I would think that you should be granted a PERFECT surgery and Recovery.  We can AGREE on that!
