I don't really think I need it right now, since everything seems to be gong splendidly, but I was wondering what kind of support groups are around B'ham just in case the blahs set in.

Hi Robert.  I really don't have any info to give you, but I DID want to say WELCOME to the Bama Borad Family.  We hope to see you posting more!  There are some wonderful support groups and Dr. Dewitts staff is on here so they will be happy to tell you about their group when they see this.  Support Groups are wonderful and a MUST for success.  I have gained about 18-20 pounds and I KNOW it is because I don't have my local support group.  I went to 3 at one time and one of them I attended about 3 years.  I have to find one here and get in it.  This board is awesome in that you can express yourself and post your "blahs", but it isn't the same as a face to face support group where others can really see you and tell you to get back on track or see that you are gaining and say some encouraging word to get you to realize you are headed back to where you use to be.  OK!  I am rambling.  I will get off my soap box.  Just glad to see you searching a support group!  WELCOME!!!

Robert,

You can find a listing of our support group dates and times on this website:  www.starsofwls.blogspot.com.  This is the WLS support group sponsored by Princeton Baptist Medical Center.  We would love for you to join us.  I am glad things are going well for you.

Take care of yourself.

Stefanie :)
