I'm home

Got home at 9 this morning. My surgery went well. No problems or surprises. Had the right thyroid took out. The left one was removed last month and cancer cells were found so now I'm thyroid free. I go Friday and will have an appointment made for the radioavtice iodine treatment. I will be able to take it and the doctors office and shouldn't have to take but one treatment. But I'm doing great. The only problem is the tumor swollowed my calcium gland(parathyroid glands) so my calcium is sinking fast. I'm now taking 3 prenatal vitamins a day and taking 2520 Calcium and 800 Vitamin D. Of course they have to be cut into. So I'm sitting here with a bowl of vitamins just popping one every hour or so. But I'm feeling great. Very little pain. Not bad enough to take anything for. I'm just going to lay around and play on the computer and watch television. Very little else I can do my son took the car so I wouldn't get out driving. But I do have friends within walking distance so if the rain holds off I may take a stroll.
Thanks for all the prayers that have been sent. Love Miss Mary

Miss Mary....I am so glad that you are home and doing well.  You take it easy...if you know how...and just kick back and read a good book or something.  I love you!!!!

I'm glad you see that you're home and doing well. A lady I work near had her thyroid out a couple of years ago and she is doing great and has no issues at all. I'm sure your story will be the same.
Rest and recover while you can.

Mary,

Again...I must be living under a rock somewhere. I did not realize you were having this done.

If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. You are not that far away from me. Your son may have your car, but I still have mine!

Just give me a call if there is anything I can do for you.

Carolyn~

My girls are very disappointed in you.  They thought you were going to leave that trailer and come to see them today.  Lacy needed you to hold her and comfort her as she is afraid of storms.

Seriously you didn't need to stay there during the storms.  We would have come and got you.
