*SCRIPTURE*
(Matthew 15:11)Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
So often we allow things to proceed out of our mouth (or keyboard) that would be better left unsaid. However because we live in a nation that grants us freedom and a plethora of "rights" we say hurtful, antagonistic, insinuating assaults, even down right lies. For what? To gain attention maybe. To have our opinion heard? Simply to antagonize someone we dislike.
For years many of us fought a battle with obesity, struggling against the things we put in our mouths. I believe that much of this comes from a hurt deep inside. This same hurt causes things to come forth and be spewing out in our words and deeds with each other.
I myself battle with opinion! I am very opinionated! But, in the grand scheme....my opinion has no weight. Only the Lord's opinion truly matters!
I invite you all to lift up a friend today with a kind word. Even an enemy if you will. It's easy to love someone who is kind to you. Much more difficult to love the one who has brought offense!
