Oak Mountain - Can't come!!!

We won't be able to come this weekend.  I'm just sick about it, but I just found out yesterday that our budget that is supposed to be due on April 10th has to be ready by Friday afternoon and there is no way I can get it ready before then.  I have to get what I can together for three offices and then my Director has to get together with me and we have to go back over everything and then I have a lot of work to finalize it because she always turns it upside down and I have at least another FULL days work to get it finished.  We have a lot of changes this year and everything is different so I will be working over...I worked until six last night (I usually get off at 4:30), our computers are down due to the bad whether...you name it, it has happened.  I will be working late Friday night to get it finished.  There is no way we will be able to come up on Saturday.  I will be drained and trying to drive to Birmingham and function will be out of the question. 

I was waiting to post this until I knew for sure.  I will be cancelling my room tonight!

I am so sad...I feel like crying and I might, especially reading about all the excitement of everyone who is coming and all!!  I will miss you all!!

One good thing came of it, Louise now has something to bring...my meatballs!  (trying to find a silver lining in my dark cloud) 

I hope you all have a wonderful time  and maybe I'll be there next time.

I'm going to miss you and lots of people very much.  I tear up every time I think about it.  At least I am so busy at work I don't have time to get on line so I don't think about it as much during the day and I am exhausted when I get home...but when I get on line and read all these sweet responses...I miss ya'll so much.  Especially since I missed seeing so many of you at Randall and Lucy's wedding and now this!!!

When you work for the church they say your reward is in heaven.  I sure hope so,
'cause lately I ain't feelin' the rewards there!

I LUV you and those beautiful girls too!  I was hoping to get some sweet little hugs from Sophie and Sydney and a great big one from you.   We'll have to see about that road trip!!

Connie I am so sorry that you will not get to be with us Saturday. When I worked in nursing I had to give up a lot of functions that I would loved to have attended, so I know how you feel.  I just hope that I can do you proud with your meatball recipe. I love those things, they are so good.  We will miss you.

Yeah it was a hard decision...have fun and see all my Bama family and friends or keep the job that pays for my home, clothing, food, etc...  It REALLY WAS HARD!!!  I know you will do the old meatball recipe proud!!!  I'm glad you will be making them.  I will miss you all too!
