Back from London

Got back from London last Saturday.  However, on the plane back, I got a really bad cold that still has me down.  The trip was great.  Saw a lot of stuff, but a lot more of London I didn't get to see.  The big surprise was the weather.  It was between 51 and 75 degrees everyday and the skies were fair, no smog or fog.  The food was the second surprise.  The food was good.  The breakfast was a little odd in the meats and cheeses direction, but otherwise it was pretty much the same as here.  The pastries were wonderful, as were the pastry shops.  I looked, but didn't touch.  The Palace Guards wear grey overcoats this time of the year, not red jackets.  Even my cousin was surprised by that.

The castles were colorful.  The Tower of London a real walking challenge.  Stonehenge was a little smaller than I had expected.  The Roman Baths were a little more elegant than I would have expected.  The museums were huge.  It was a great trip and very educational.  I am glad to be home and not too happy with being sick.

I have a bad cold too Karla!  And I didn't even get to go to London.  It sounds like you had a great trip and I'm so glad. I love England and would like to go back sometime.  Glad you got home safely.  Take care of yourself so maybe the cold won't last too long,

Oh Karla...I am so sorry you are sick, but sounds like you had a great time in London.  I would love to go there one day.  I am glad that you are back safe and sound.  You will have to share some pictures, please.  I hope to see you next Saturday.

Thank you all.  I did have a good time.  It was really fun.  I am hoping to see you next weekend at Oak Mountain.  I am not sure just yet, because I don't know how many things have piled up at school that have to be handled, but I am going to try to make it.

Sorry you are sick, glad you are bad and had a great time, why didn't you take me???   LOL

Sorry about your cold but what an awesome adventure!!  London is the one place abroad that I have always wanted to go.  Thanks for sharing!!
