so let me talk and then I will get off my soap box.  And please don't hollar at me.  I will cry, I promise.

So many of our "family" has stopped posting on this board for one reason or another and moved to facebook.  I don't have anything against facebook and I have a facebook account.  I go there and read but don't post very much.  It is just not like here.  On this site it is almost like we are "talking" to each other.

Our sister DebbieDoo needs us now.  She does not have a facebook account.  I really think that the ones who have stopped posting still come here and read the messages.  Please, let's come together for Debbie.  I know if I were going through the battle she is going through I would want and need each and every one of you.  I depend on so many of you for strength even in my day to day life.

Okay, I will step down now and go back to being my meek and mild self!!

Thank you Debbie for saying what I have been feeling about OH. Yes I have went over to facebook and love it. I love the fact that I am reconnecting with old friends from high school. I for one got upset when Oh would not let me post about the reunion. Well I took care of that problem and blocked the trouble make and have been able to post the reunion. Yes we are like family and I for one think that we need to get back to being our OH family. As of tonight I am going to start coming to OH more and posting. You have given me a wake up call. I have been posting sporadic, but will make an effort to be better and get back to my roots. Thank you for bring this to our attention. Yes Debbie does need us along with the newbies, well we all need each other.

Louise and Debbie,
Well said!!! I have nothing more to say about this subject.I don't like troublemakers at all.I think you did the right thing by blocking them,Louise. I have felt that we are not the same as we once was because a whole lot of people not posting. It is like this is a bare board.Hope you all have a Blessed night!

I so agree,,,,Facebook is ok, I dont like it nearly as much as here and nowhere as easy to get info or add inspiration to some that may want or need it.
Although i am a lurker, I read EVERYDAY for tips , inspiration and so on off this sight.
When I first had surgery, I can here as my DR office didnt have much to offer in aftercare ALTHOUGH a great surgeon .
I filled in the blanks on here.  So may have left that used to be here instead of blocking whom they didnt want to hear ,,,
I know life goes on and many leave but in my humble opinion, RNY and gastric is a lifetime learing experience and  I STILL NEED to know things so i come here.
Thanks Debbie for putting it down in black and white :)
Hugs and Blessing

Hi my friend!

Guilty, that is how I plead.  I walked away from the board and the reasons are really of no importance to anyone other than myself.  I apologize to you and everyone else who I may have let down.  I love so many of the people on this board and I realize that when you love people and have relationships you must keep the lines of communication open.  I closed them!  No one else kept me away from the board but me.  Please know that I will read, post, laugh, cry, support, and yes defend the fine men and women on this board and will not desert any of you.  I will make a way to do this.  I love you girl! Get on the "soapbox"  anytime you feel the need.

Many Blessings,

Lisa

I didn't realize until your post that so many people had stopped posting as much over here.  I am on both OH and Facebook off/on all day, but I am a pretty active poster here on OH.  I love the support I get from my OH friends and I love reconnecting with old (school) friends on Faceboook, so I use is for different reasons.

We all need our support and this is one of the best places I have found to get it, so lets keep up the good work here.

I pass through here 2 -3 times a day. Usually I just read and move on. I do sometimes drop a line here and there. I am one of the ones who is on facebook. I love seeing old friends and making new ones there but I love my friends here too. However, lately I am just passing through both sites. Not enough hours in my day anymore.

I have a facebook account and love to go there, too.  I have connected with many people that I had lost contact with over the years.  However, my heart was always with the Alabama Board.  There have been many things said that hurt so many.  I had decided that I would back away and stop posting hugs daily because I had a few that asked me to stop.  I understand that everyone does not appreciate God's Word, nor do they want to hear about it.  I also know that I cannot live without it.    I love you, Debbie and so many others here on this board.  I feel that God placed us together for a purpose.   I pray daily for DebbieDoo.  She is precious to me and I have carried a special love for her since I met her, as I have with so many here.   I do come here and read and I do pray for the needs even if I do not post.  I will continue to read and pray and love those so dear to my heart.
