I lost some weight before my surgery on Feb 2 and after I lost about 30lbs. So total I have lost 48-50lbs but I am sad cause I have Stopped. I am working out 5 days a week and not eating much. My protein I am getting through milk and chicken and cheese. So why am I not losing. Any thoughts.

Congrats on your loss, but this happens to everyone, just at different times.  Mine happened at the one month mark, and I stalled for about 2 weeks.  It also happened again at the 5 month mark and again right now.  Just look at it as your body is trying to play catch up because things are going so fast and weight is dropping so fast that it has to take a time out to stabalize itself again.  You will continue to loose.  Just keep doing what you are doing...Make sure you get your water in!!!

Good luck.

if i remember correctly we had our surgery the same day/same dr/same hosp...i think i was either after you or before you...whichever the case....

congrats on all the loss!!  i am in the same boat.  i went from 326 to 281 and now im in a stall.  i am getting the protein and water....even calories....but.....we have already lost a lot, and honestly our bodies just need time to catch up.

be patient...it will come off soon.

Carmen, I can't stress enough the importance of using a simple tape measurer and taking all your measurements before surgery. When you are on a stall like this you can keep measuring and see that you are losing inches. The fat is going and the muscle is taking its place. So if you haven't already done your measuring get out that old high school sewing kit and a pen and paper. Take your measurments and write it down. Check each month. You will be surprized how many inches you lose. I'm 62 inches tall and I lost 63 inches. Good luck and don't stress out over the stall. It happens to everybody. Love, Miss Mary

Stalls happen to all of us.  Just keep at it and you will start losing again before you know it.  Be sure that you are getting in all your meals.  Not eating enough calories can cause you to stop losing too because your body goes into starvation mode.  I think you have lost a great deal of weight since your surgery.  Don't focus so much on what the scales say and more on inches lost.  I bet you can tell a huge difference in the way your clothes fit.

Give it time, your stall with break and you will be losing again soon.

This is a journey from one plateau to another.  My first one lasted almost three weeks.  Don't be surprised when you find you cannot stray far from the bathroom.  You will start losing the water your body is retaining in an attempt to keep the weight and to stabalize itself.  Stay with the program and you will start losing again soon.  You have already lost fifty pounds that would still be there were it not for this program.   Keep the faith and keep up the good work.
