medicaid medcaid what and who takes it

im looking for a doctor who does the surgery and who will take medicaid,this is so unfair i feel its discrimitive to those of us who are on it and want to live,i do not get this,they will pay for the eatright weightloss at UAB but not the surgery,this SUCKS,If those of use who hve been on diets could loose on dam diets  then we would not be here ,but im one who has tried now im looking for a doctor who takes MEDICAID!!!! WHERE ARE THEY?

Welcome to our OH family board! Now I am not sure what doctor takes just straight medicaid but I believe if you look under find a surgeon you can find a surgeon near you and call the to check.I believe Dr. Les Miles @ St.Vincent's East takes it.Sorry I couldn't be of more assistence.I too am on medicaid with medicare being my primary.So I was having trouble myself trying to find a surgeon who would take both my insurances and my bama family here helped me out.Someone I am sure will help you here.Maybe not tonight but tomorrow.(everybody may be in the bed)

I dont have any advice on the insurance but I wanted to welcome you and tell you good luck! Its an amazing thing and a wild ride so hold on tight! The time will fly by once you have started a program!

Have you tired Dr. Andrew DeWitt?  I don't know if he takes that ins or not but his office should be able to tell you.  He is wonderful!!
