ER Visit and Questions
Hello Everyone,
I know we all have issues from time to time, but mine come about once a year. This weekend I wound up in the hospital in Montgomery. The ER says pancreatitis, but the dr. didn't think so. I am 2-1/2 years out and this is the third time I have had this. I don't know who or what to believe. My bloodwork is ok, but according to the ER in Montgomery, my fatty liver is still an issue.
My primary dr. says everything is ok and I don't know what my surgeon will say. I will be calling them tomorrow.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Tommy

My DH was hospitalized several times for what they called pancreatitis but it ended up being years of problems with his gallbladder. He had it taken out about 2 years ago and rarely has the same problems anymore.
I'm starting to think that they use pancreatitis as the catch all when they don't know what the true problem is.
Good luck!
Noel

I have had pancretitus.. several times chronic.
They can tell by 3 different levels; so if nurses post back I'm sure they will tell you.
I can't remember what it was called. But I wonder if we are at higher risk for it having had RNY?
I read over it; I'm no drinker so I don't know what has caused mine.
But I agree with Randall GOD IS MORE THAN ABLE! And I am praying you well.
Standing in Faith you are felling better already!

I too have pancreatitis since my complications. Mine flares up from time to time and can be very painful. They watch my pancreatic enzymes and i think the two biggies are lipase and amylase (not sure on the spelling). They can usually tell just from that blood work if i'm having an attack.
Best of luck, i hope you feel better soon!
