I am off carbs.... If I can make it.... I know carbs are my enemy and I decided to cut back, way back.  I had eggs and cheese and microwave bacon for breakfast.  For lunch I ate catfish.  It did have some breading but just a little.  Also a little green salad.  I have snacked on almonds and had sugar free jello.  But I WANT something SWEET.  Before surgery I did not care for sweets at all.  Now I love everything sweet and ice cream is my very favorite.  I think I need a 12 step plan!!!!

Good for you Little-Ladybug.. I so need to throw out my carbs out of my diet too... It's my biggest enemy... I need to get back to eating my boiled egg & microwave bacon for breakfast as well.  I use to snack on a few peanuts throughout the day but have gotten into such a habbit of snacking on these Pretzel Crisps in the Chipotle Cheddar flavor from Wal-Mart.. things are so addicting or they are for me..

I really never cared about sweets either before my surgery.. but it's like it's so hard to turn them away now... I'm with you on the 12 step plan.. I definately need that plan too....

I am sorry Little-Ladybug you having such a rough go of it.I too am having a little of the same problem although I haven't had my surgery yet.The doctor told me to lay off of carbs and sweets.I can't have nothing but eggs, cheese ,vegi's,(not potatoes, though)salads and lean meat like chicken and turkey, fish.I swear I am having such a hard time with this situation.I just get to where I eat just once a day and then I  or  because I ate so much in that one sitting of salads and chicken. I need a 12 step plan also so it will be easier to handle this.

Hope you hang in there and have a Blessed day! Love your music by the way!

With God's Amazing Love,

Good for you, Debbie!!!!!  You can do this.  I buy s/f popsicles and when I really want ice cream, they are great.  You will do great.  Love you!!!

Thank all of you for your encouragement!!!  I am hanging on.  I have wished that sugar made me dump.  It doesn't!!  I am cooking fresh squash and green onions, pork chops and rice and gravy for supper.  I hope the squash does not have many carbs.  I will eat that and a pork chop.  The rice and gravy is for Jimmy.  Rice does not tempt me at all.  Now if it were mashed potatos I would be in trouble!!!
Carmen, thanks for the idea of sugar free popcicles.  I had not thought of them.
