Steak Soup

(2 pound) pkg. of top round steak, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/3 up all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons olive oi
l4 cups water
5 or 6 baking potatoes cut into ½ inch cubes
3 carrots, sliced
2 small onions, chopped
1 celery rib, chopped
1 cup frozen sweet green peas
1 (16 ounce can) whole kernel corn drained and rinsed
1 (6 ounce) can of tomato paste
2 cups beef broth, canned or home made
1 to 2 teaspoons of black pepper

Toss steak in flour in zip lock bag. Brown steak in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 5 to 8minutes.Stir together steak, the four cups of water and add remaining ingredients in a slow cooker (crock pot).Cook covered on high 8 hours or until vegetables are tender. Salt to taste.


Super Easy Chicken Cacciatore

Thoroughly wash and clean a whole chicken and put in the crock pot. Put in a jar of  spaghetti sauce, cut up some onions, garlic and green peppers. Salt and pepper. Cook all day on low heat.



White Chili with Chicken

5 cups of diced cooked chicken breast
2 (151/2) ounce cans of white northern beans
6 cups of chicken broth
2 toes of garlic, minced
1 large white onion, chopped
1 teaspoon white pepper1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon ground cloves
1 (7ounce) can diced green chilies
2 cups chicken breast in bite size chunks
An additional 2 cups of chicken broth
1 tablespoon chopped jalapeno pepper

In a crock pot or a large heavy kettle combine beans, 6 cups of chicken broth, garlic, onion, white pepper, salt, oregano, cumin, and the cloves. Simmer covered for at least 2 hours or until beans are tender. Stir occasionally. Stir in green chilies, chicken and 2 cups of chicken broth. For more zip add jalapenos. Cover and simmer for another hour.


Nothing tastes as good as being thinner feels.
